YDS have announced they are to sponsor the 2011 Exmoor 30:30. To help launch YDS boots in the UK, YDS is sponsoring this September’s race across the Moors.
Exmoor 30:30
The Exmoor 30:30 is a tough but achievable challenge test of fitness, navigation & teamwork. Here are the details:
- 30 miles or 30 kilometres, within 12 hours, across Exmoor, carrying 30 lbs
- Team event: participate in a ‘solo’ team of 5 or in a ‘relay’ team of 5+
- Male/female/mixed teams all welcome
- All sponsor monies raised going to The Royal British Legion.

The Exmoor is a serious race for physically fit individuals to test themselves against both terrain and weather in a timed competition through 10 manned checkpoints across Exmoor. It appeals to both civvy slackers & military personnel – but it most definitely is, as they put it, for “competitors, not casualties”. Whether solo or in a team, choose your class, and test yourself in one of the UK’s toughest races.
All racers attempt to raise £500 for The Royal British Legion, which is terrific – so good luck to all the competitors!
